Saweetie - NANi

Leading up to the drop, Saweetie shared mini-teasers of “Nani” with different clips from the song. “We gon’ fuck up the summer,” she wrote in one post, revealing the single’s cover art.

During a single release event at Alo Yoga Headquarters, the musician previewed four new songs, including one that samples Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.”

The track follows her luxury-manifesting track “Richtivities” — around the time of the song’s release, she graced the cover of Allure and shared details about why she hasn’t dropped her long-teased Pretty Bitch Music album — or any album, for that matter.

“I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,” Saweetie said, referring to the people surrounding her. “To me, music is sacred. It’s coming from your spirit. You can’t just go finish an album in a week. That’s why it’s taking me so long. That’s why I haven’t dropped an album yet.”

She also spoke about holding herself to an ultra-high standard in everything she does.

“As an artist, the frequency changes. The music I created up until now, in three months I could listen to it and I could be like, ‘I’m not that girl anymore,’” she said. For what’s coming, she teased: “The theme is just Saweetie.”
